Andrea Berg Doesn't Miss A Beat With New Abenteuer Release

Andrea Berg: Tough, blue-collar, feminine, sexy --
the coolest thing going on in schlager today

A friend from Germania wrote us and thanked us for putting up a link to the live broadcast of Helene Fischer's preview of her new Fur Einen Tag (Phanomen) CD.

"It was nice enough," he wrote, "but have your heard Andrea Berg's new Abenteuer CD," he asked. "It's fantastic!"

We couldn't agree more. While Fischer experiments with new vocal styles and tries to musically "find herself," Andrea Berg just keeps plugging away in her own exquisite and undeniably winning form.

Berg, the best selling recording artist in German history, seems to hold to the artistic philosophy, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Coming on the heels of last year's platinum selling Schwerelos CD, Abenteuer (Adventure), released on September 30th, is every bit as chock full of Berg's ethereal-voiced, hard-hitting schlager sound.

You can't help but really like Andrea Berg. In a schlager context, to Helene Fischer's Paul McCartney, she is Mick Jagger. To Francine Jordi's Barbie doll, she is Wonder Woman.

Tough, blue-collar, feminine, sexy: Andrea Berg is just about the coolest thing going in schlager today.

Here is the featured track from Andrea Berg's just released Abenteuer CD, Piraten Wie Wir (Pirates We Are)

And here is Andrea Berg in a recent live performance of another cut from the CD, Lebenslänglich (For Life)

And here she is in an elaborate stage performance of Piraten wie wir in concert in Hamburg in February 2012:

The more I see and hear her, the more I like her. Why don't we have this on American radio?

Probably because it's not smutty and trashy like Gaga et al.
