Echo Award Winner, Andrea Berg, Wraps Up 2011 Tour

Andrea Berg accepts her
2011 Echo Award in Berlin

Andrea Berg just wrapped up her 2011 "Thousand and One Nights Tour" with a September 4th concert in Brunswick and she is unquestionably as hot as ever - both personally and commercially.

Between January 14 and September 4th she played to packed houses in 20 major German cities as well as in Salzburg and Vienna in Austria and Zurich, Switzerland.

She interrupted the tour just long enough to accept her 2011 Echo Award for Best German Language Female Schlager Vocalist, presented in Berlin on May 24th.

This came in the wake of the October 2010 release of her Schwerelos CD which shot to #1 on the German and Austrian schlager charts within a week of its release.

Berg, the best selling recording artist in post-war German history, seems to have toned down her persona for the 2011 tour by jettisoning the leather biker chick look for more elegant gowns. The more feminine attire seems much more compatible with the soft ethereal strains of her unforgettable voice.

Here is a 9 minute clip containing a medley from Andrea Berg's 2011 tour:

I'm glad she didn't have that biker chick look! LOL Like you said, the feminine gowns are much more appealing. :)

I have to say thought - wasn't she blonde the last time I saw her? Her hair seemed much darker. Perhaps it was just the lighting. She's still lovely though and her voice is pretty as ever. :)

She definitely wasn't blonde, you must be confusing her with Helene Fischer, the other superstar. Possibly Andrea Berg's hair was a bit more auburn before, but certainly not blonde.
